I saw Easy Rider when it came out in the theaters. Really cool movie and at the end there was dead silence for a moment and then then almost everyone said SHIT!

And you thought "riding your hog" was a sex act with a pig!

I saw this movie in 1969, when I was thirteen, I saw it with my elementary school friends. My best friend was all into politics at this young age. I remember going to political rally’s with him. We saw Humphrey and Wallace (before he was in a wheelchair). I remember Vietnam, and despised L.B. Johnson getting us into that war, and hated Nixon for keeping us in it. As kids we hang out at “Poo Bah” records and ‘Head shops’ in Pasadena. Riding our ‘Sting Ray’ bikes all around town. My friend became a Political Science professor at UCLA, I eventually did graphic design after various jobs before that. I sure miss the fun times of my youth. Today politics seem way worse than back than. We had “love and peace”, back in the 60’s. Today it’s just ‘vindictiveness and hatred’. Political times are bad with no end in sight. 😢

It's blatantly obvious, Fred and Rita were on a whole different level than actors today. They are like Draco, with a team of top scientists and trainers recruiting and training them for years to a montage using top of the line scientific equipment and gear while accompanied by 80s synth music, while our current actors are like Rocky training in a drafty barn, that's the obvious difference.
